Natus Vincere, more commonly known as Na’Vi, is a professional gaming team based in Ukraine, with players competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fifa, World of Tanks, Paladins, and League of Legends.
The name Natus Vincere is taken from Latin and translates as “Born to Win;” and it would seem that Na’Vi was indeed born to win.
They stepped into the spotlight in 2010, winning several CS:GO tournaments and taking home the first prize at Dreamhack that year. Just a year later, in 2011, they went on to win the very first Dota 2 The International for a prize of $1,000,000. Most recently, they placed fourth in the PUBG Global Invitational 2018 (FPP) and took home first prize in the ESL One: Cologne 2018 CS:GO tournament. They have won many other titles over the team’s history, and their winnings for Dota 2 alone exceed $100,000,000.
Their most famous Dota players are Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Victor “GeneRal” Nigrini, while Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev, Egor “flamie” Vasilyev, and Aleksandr “s1mple” Krostyliev lead the Counter-Strike team.
Na’Vi regularly competes in ESL tournaments, Paladins events, and Dota 2 championships all over the world.
